Yard Waste

Keep yard debris out of the landfill and working for the environment

Yard and landscaping waste is mulched and composted at the Trash Transfer Station by Arbor Works Organics. Compost is available for sale through Arbor Works Organics and Terra Firma Organics.

WHAT TO KNOW

All yard and landscaping waste is $103 per ton (minimum $10 per load) at the Trash Transfer Station, and should be separated into correct piles, if possible:

  • Grass, leaves, and weeds
  • Branches and shrubs
  • Trees - Must be free of
    rocks and dirt. Stumps
    larger than 25” in diameter
    must be cut into 3-foot
    sections.
