[ARCHIVED] Senior Planner

Teton County is a gateway community to Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks, situated in a beautiful mountain resort environment with abundant wildlife and outdoor recreational opportunities. Our Comprehensive Plan emphasizes the responsibility we share as residents of the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem by identifying the three following common values of our community character: ecosystem stewardship, growth management, and quality of life. The Senior Planner position offers an exciting opportunity to protect and enhance our common values.

This is a professional level planner position reviewing complex development applications and coordinating comprehensive planning projects affecting land use, development, and technical regulations.  The ideal candidate is a team player who has strong technical writing and public speaking skills. Previous experience with resort planning is a plus.

Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in planning or a related field, and three years of experience in community development and planning programs; or  
  • Master’s degree in Planning and two years’ experience.
