The newly adopted Housing Supply Plan calls for a Low-Income Housing Tax Credit ("LIHTC") project to begin this year with a Request for Qualifications for developers with extensive experience building LIHTC projects as the first step. The RFQ Council will consider Monday evening outlines a scope of work with four distinct tasks: property identification; QAP study and opportunity assessment, preliminary design; project application; and project development.
LIHTC projects typically provide rental housing for households who earn less than median income, which is a gap in the current housing supply pipeline according to the Housing Supply Plan.
