Automotive & Tires
Tires
Car tires can be disposed of at the Trash Transfer Station.
Bicycle tires may be recycled at the Recycling Center in the designated bicycle tire bin during office hours.
Vehicle Batteries
- Standard vehicle batteries are accepted at the Recycling Center office.
Please place on the cart (during business hours), or next to the battery bin shelving unit if after hours.
Lithium automotive, golf cart and e-bike batteries cannot be accepted by Teton County in recycling or trash, but can typically be recycled through the dealer where the vehicle was purchased.
Automotive Fluids, Filters, and Containers
Includes: Automotive Fluids, Filters and Containers, Engine Coolants and Containers
Clean motor oil (no water, antifreeze or dirt) may be taken to Westwood Curtis Construction by appointment, 733-4586, for reuse as heater fuel.
These items are not accepted in any garbage or standard recycling program.
Please protect the environment by scheduling a Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) appointment.
The HHW facility is open April–October by appointment only.
