Teton County Integrated Solid Waste and Recycling (ISWR) opened a Food Waste Composting Facility and began accepting food waste at the Trash Transfer Station on February 1, 2021.
This service is open to residents and businesses with large amounts of food waste who are able to self-haul to the Food Waste Composting Facility, located on the same property as the Trash Transfer Station, a few miles south of Jackson. Please read below for guidelines, policy, and restrictions.
The Transfer Station tip fee for food waste is $103/ton or approximately $.05/lb. (A $10 minimum applies.)
That's cheaper than sending trash to the landfill.
HOW IT WORKS:
ISWR and its composting contractor, Arbor Works Organics, want to ensure the cleanest, highest quality end product. Please call 307-733-7678 or email ISWRoutreach@TetonCountyWY.gov with questions.
