This community has made it a priority to maintain at least 65% of its workforce living locally. Although the gap between the need and supply for affordable homes is still quite large, the Affordable Housing Department's aims to better support families and individuals that share our community values and have chosen to make Jackson Hole their home.

Other Non-Profits with Affordable Housing

The Jackson Hole Community Housing Trust & Teton Habitat for Humanity are non-profits in town that also provide subsidized housing options.

Teton County Rental Resources

There are approximately 400 Affordable and Workforce rental units in Teton County whose tenants are selected directly by private owners (and not through the Weighted Drawing process).

Seniors and Disabled Citizens

Jackson is fortunate to have an Apartment complex called Pioneer Homestead that provides affordable housing for seniors and those who are permanently disabled. All of their rental fees are income based.

Community Safety Network

Community Safety Network provides both emergency beds and transitional living units to victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking. All services are confidential and free.

Good Samaritan Mission

The Good Samaritan Mission provides showers, chapel, and 2 meals a day. All guests are required to have a job and pay weekly dorm fees.

One22

One22 provides emergency aid and resources in times of crisis or hardship, and financial guidance. They also provide language translation services for Spanish speakers, and immigrant services that help immigrants acquire skills necessary to adjust to life in Teton County.

Section 8

The Housing Department is locally funded, and therefore does not administer any federally funded HUD programs, including Section 8. There may be some apartments that accept vouchers directly.

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Jackson/Teton County Housing Department and the Jackson/Teton County Housing Authority Board (JTCHA Board) have taken the following actions for JTCHA tenants, JTCHA homeowners, and the community at-large.
